Supported Living

Brookdale Care has developed Supported Living accommodation in response to the positive achievements made by our residents as they progress through our residential care services.  The move to Supported Living enables individuals to further the independent living skills that they have developed whilst in residential care, including budgeting, food preparation, menu planning and self care.

Current residents in Supported Living may also be engaged in Higher Education and employment within their local community.  The support provided to each resident in Supported Living is highly individualised and in some circumstances may also include continued input from our clinicians in the MDT.  Care staff working in our Supported Living schemes undertake the same specialist training in Autism and Asperger syndrome as those who work in other areas of the company in order to provide consistency of approach throughout all or Brookdale Care services.
