Supported Living
Brookdale Care is able to provide Supported Living Accommodation for adults with High Functioning Autism and Asperger syndrome.
We operate 2 levels of Supported Living depending on individual needs and preferences, these are:
- Supported Living on-site alongside one of our residential care homes
- Supported Living in the local community
Supported Living provides individuals with the opportunity to live independently, but with the support of keyworkers from the local Brookdale residential care home and our therapeutic team.
Current residents in our Supported Living services have progressed from our Asperger syndrome care homes. The move to Supported Living enables individuals to further the independent living skills that they have developed whilst in residential care, including:
- Budgeting
- Food preparation
- Menu planning (creating a nutritional balanced diet)
- Self care
Current residents in Supported Living are engaged in Higher Education and employment within the local community.
