On 6 May there will be a general election in the UK. People with Autism need your help to make sure every local parliamentary candidate is aware of the issues faced by people with autism and their families and if they are elected will work to represent their interests both at national level and in their constituencies.
Brookdale Care are supporting the National Autistic Society’s Stand up for Autism campaign
An election campaign is a great opportunity to get all the political parties to listen to the autism community and to pledge their commitment and support. The NAS is asking you to make sure the voice of the autism community is heard loud and clear during the campaign by emailing your local candidates and asking them to stand up for autism.
You can contact your candidates via the NAS campaign action page.
If you ever doubt that these emails are worth sending, just remember that the new adult autism strategy for England only exists because the autism community came together and demanded it.
