Autism home raising money for Marie Curie

This April residents and staff from the Asperger syndrome home Eynesbury House are seeking to swim 5km to raise money for Marie Curie.
The Residents and Staff of all swimming abilities have set aside 2 ½ hours for the sponsored 5 km swim to raise money for the Marie Curie Swimathon who are looking to exceed the £1.5m fundraisers managed to achieve in 2009. Residents within our Autism and Asperger syndrome care homes are encouraged to live a healthy and active lifestyle by making positive choices in their personal lives. Staff work with the individual to help them to understand the benefit of eating a balanced diet and incorporate a variety of leisure activities into their structured timetables.
