Residents wins 1st place in CPAA Artwork Competition

Brookdale Care is always keen to promote the natural talents of our autistic residents and it seems that residents are really responding to their sessions with the art therapists based at the resource centre within Milton Park Hospital.
The Care Programme Approach Association (CPA Association) was established to support the implementation, operation, and development of the Care Programme Approach. The Association has been in operation on an informal basis since 1993, giving support to people involved in implementing the CPA, particularly CPA Coordinators and Managers.
The CPA Association has run a national artwork competition for service users for the last 3 years, this year they received 100’s of entries and David Telford's stood out immediately as a winner with Angela Norris receiving a ‘highly commended’ 2nd place.

The winning artwork, produced by David Telford, will be used as the front cover in the Autumn issue of The Approach, the CPA Association professional journal. All the shortlisted entrants will be included in the special edition of the magazine.
Brookdale Care is a member of the CPA Association and regularly attends their meetings where our CPA Coordinators meet with their peers, network and share best practice in the process and presentations of CPA reviews and reporting.
