Ganwick House, residential care home for adults with Autism and Learning Difficulties, has just been awarded 3 Stars and rated an Excellent residential home from CSCI.

The CSCI inspect every residential care homes in England against a list of standards to ensure that the home provides a suitable care environment for its residents. Homes are then ranked:
No Stars = Poor, 1 Star = Adequate, 2 Stars = Good, 3 Stars = Excellent

Personal & Healthcare Support
Concerns, Complaints & Protection
Environment
Staffing
Conduct & Management of the home
Comments from the CSCI Inspection report:
‘The staff team are both committed and enthusiastic in their approach to people living within this service who can present as very challenging and demanding’.
Ganwick House received an Excellent ranking for supporting Individual Needs and Choices.
‘Care Plans were inspected in detail and were found to provide an excellent insight into each individual’s needs. The manager and staff have worked extremely hard to produce these care plans in a pictorial format that can be easily understood by each person living within the service.
Whole life reviews occur to support the service user in achieving and reviewing individual needs, goals and aspirations’.
The inspection report highlighted that Maude Merchand, Registered Manager ‘should be congratulated on running an efficient and effective service that benefits the people living within Ganwick House'.
