National Commissioning Conference

Brookdale Care is keen to meet commissioners at the National Commissioning conference to share best practice for commissioning hospital and residential care services for adults with autism and asperger syndrome.
Here is why we believe that Brookdale Care provides the highest quality of care for our autistic residents:
- Brookdale Care strives to achieve the highest level of care and clinical support for our service users (our homes are rated as Excellent or Good by the CSCI).
- Every service user is fully supported by our Multi-Disciplinary Team which includes; Speech & Language Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Occupational Therapists. Every member of the MDT is employed by Brookdale and has extensive experience working with people with ASD.
- Milton Park Hospital provides emergency support when risks dictate that a service user requires a safe and secure environment in the event of mental health breakdown or crisis. This reduces the risk of complete placement breakdown requiring urgent action from the placing authority.
- Existing service users are attending further education, in mainstream or specialist colleges or are in supported employment.
- Brookdale Care is unique in its ability to provide a Continuous Care Pathway for adults with Asperger syndrome through to Independent Living.
