Health Service Journal is hosting its Forensic Mental Health Services conference, taking place on 15th March 2011 in London.
Forensic mental health is a complex and specialist service area, going through unprecedented times. The Bradley Review has intensified the drive to secure services away from prisons and into more appropriate facilities for offenders with severe mental health problems.
With the increasing pressure to develop the systems of care needed to divert offenders into forensic mental health services, public sector funding cuts and a drastic increase in prison population, what will the fall for forensic mental health services be?
Uniting professionals from across the country working in and with forensic mental health services, this conference will explore a range of specific challenges, including quality in forensic mental health services, understanding the priorities for commissioners of forensic mental health services, the appropriate provision of services for offenders with Personality Disorders and the improvement of whole forensic mental health care pathways.
Hear from Lord Bradley on what the future holds for forensic mental health and how you can overcome future challenges
