Events & Conferences

Each year there are a number of conferences and events aimed at care professionals and families working with people on the Autistic Spectrum. Brookdale Care attends these events to ensure that our clinical and management team can share best practice in supporting people on the Autistic Spectrum and to raise awareness of the specialist hospital, residential and supported living services we provide.  We thought you might be interested in learning more about them as well.

We also organise autism seminars within our services that you may be interested in the attending. Please contact us on info@brookdalecare.co.uk to see if we have any free tickets available for these events.

Autism: Assessing and Managing Risk and Offending Behaviour

To help raise awareness of Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), as stated in the Autism Strategy, we are hosting a free autism conference on Autism: Assessing and Managing Risks and Offending Behaviour.  The conference is being held in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

We are delighted to include keynote presentations by Dr Karen Guldberg, University of Birmingham, Olly Hibble, Peterborough Youth Offending Team and Shauneen Lambe, Solicitor, Just for Kids Law.

The conference will also include presentations and insights from Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Speech & Language Therapists who will describe the treatments and therapies they use to work holistically with adults with autism to identify and manage risks in the community and hospital environment.

The seminar, on Wednesday 14th September, is aimed at care professionals involved in the care and support of adults on the autistic spectrum.
