We are currently recruiting for ASD Link Workers to be based at Milton Park, our independent hospital in Wyboston, Bedfordshire.
Brookdale Care is a family owned company that provides residential and secure hospital care for people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders for over 15 years.
As an ASD Link Worker, you will work with the clinical and multi – disciplinary teams to provide high quality services to patients at Milton Park. You will be required to provide a standard of care to patients, under the supervision of the ASD Practitioner and the Nurse Practitioner in accordance with the CQC standards of care and Brookdale Care policies and procedures. You will ensure a healthy, safe and hygienic therapeutic environment for patients at Milton Park at all times. You must be able to confidently demonstrate and apply in your work to your patients the Patients Charter, Human Rights and the Mental Health Act and show how this underpins your delivery of care.

Experience with clients with Autistic Spectrum Disorder isn’t essential form this role, however you must be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, if you haven’t already got this qualification, so excellent written and communication skills is essential for this role.
After completing a three month probation you will go from an ASD Link Worker Trainee to an ASD Lin Worker. You will also then have the opportunity to work towards an NVQ Level 3 and also train for other qualifications so that you can progress within the company. Brookdale Care encourages staff to attend regular training courses and study days in order for staff to be the best they can be at their jobs and so that we can do our best for our patients.
This job requires 24 / 7 care for our patients, so you will be required to work a shift pattern covering day and night shifts for 37.5 hours per week, over 7 days a week.
The hourly rate is £7.84 per hour during probation as a Trainee ASD Link Worker, rising to £8.74 per hour upon completion of probation period.
