Autism Support Services are fully CQC Compliant and providing a Good Standard of Care

Brookdale Care is pleased to announce that we remain fully compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) across all our support services.

Our services are now undergoing inspection under the new criteria to ensure that the quality of care we provide our residents is still Good – although we are continually striving to achieve Outstanding outcomes for our residents.

Here is an introduction to the new Care Quality Commission reports.

The CQC inspectors will be using five headings to decide on the quality of the services provided:
  • Are they safe? Are people protected from abuse and avoidable harm.
  • Are they effective? Does the care, treatment and support achieves good outcomes, and promote a good quality of life?
  • Are they caring? Do staff involve and treat people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect?
  • Are they responsive to people’s needs? Are services organised so that they meet people’s needs?
  • Are they well-led? Does the leadership of the organisation assure high-quality, person-centred care?
For each of these headings, services will be placed into one of four categories:
  • Outstanding
  • Good
  • Requires improvement
  • Inadequate
These judgements are then combined into an overall rating for the service, the ratings are posted on the CQC website and legally have to be displayed in the inspected service and on the company website.  You can see all our resports in the Safeguarding section of the website. Here is a link to all our CQC Inspection Reports.
